Intra Oral Camera

A small camera is used to show you around the inside of your mouth. The image is projected onto the computer screen for you to see. This helps us to correctly plan your treatment and to show you the areas of concern. You have the full advantage of being very involved in your own treatment.

In Chair Education

Prior to your treatment we will help you to understand your treatment procedure. We would like you to be fully aware of each stage of your treatment and this can be done with the use of visual aids and animated DVDs. You will be encouraged to ask questions and be fully involved in your treatment direction.

Digital Radiography

90% less radiation than conventional x-rays

Radiography is an essential diagnostic procedure in dentistry… before, during and after the completion of treatment. Digital radiography offers minimal radiation, is instant and more accurate as the image can be magnified and adjusted for darkness and contrast.

Pain-free Wand®  

It doesn’t look like a syringe! It doesn’t feel like a syringe!  

The Wand® is a computer-controlled system that delivers the anaesthetic without the use of a conventional syringe and needle. It is because of this controlled constant flow that there is virtually no awareness of the anaesthetic being administered.

Entertainment

During your treatment you can have the choice of listening to your favourite CD or maybe even watching the latest release DVD! With a mounted television screen and some headphones you can lay back and relax. Your treatment will be completed in no time!

JVA - Computerized Joint Vibration Analysis

This is specialized equipment used to take readings of the noises/clicks or vibrations occurring within the jaw joints upon opening and closing movements. The JVA is simply a 3-minute, non-invasive test where headphones are placed on both jaw joints and the patient is instructed to open and close. An abnormal or dislocated joint has distinctive vibrations which can be analyzed to help diagnose the seriousness of the problem.

T-Scan - Computerized Occlusal (Bite) Analysis

The latest technological advance in computerized occlusal imaging - this technology proved so successful that there is no room for guesswork for our dentists. Bite paper is all most dentists have to assess and balance the forces of occlusion, which is not sensitive enough to detect simultaneous tooth contact.

The T-Scan®  is the only system available to measure dental occlusal forces
and quantify how well-balanced a patient's occlusion is.

DIAGNOdent – Laser caries detection

For a long time, the correct diagnosis of decay in the grooves of teeth has been
very difficult to attain. We now offer a caries detection laser, the Diagnodent Pen.  
It is a quick, easy, and extremely reliable diagnostic tool. It allows for highly
accurate diagnosis of decay without even feeling the touch of it on the tooth.
